Shell Stitch looks very pretty in blankets, tops, skirts, ponchos and in almost any crochet project. This pattern is very easy to work specially for beginners.
First the waist band is worked, the length of the waist band depends on the waist size of the baby. For the skirt part shell stitch is used which looks very cute. Shell stitch is worked in rows and you can stop once you have reached the desired length of the skirt.
In this pattern, I have worked a belt so that its easy to adjust the waist in case it is loose. Belt is worked long enough to be able to tie a bow. You may try this pattern to make skirts in any size by repeating the rows.
For the size I made less than 100 gms of yarn was used. Yarn quantity will change depending the size you work so make sure to buy enough yarn before you start. Baby Soft Yarn is available in solid colors and can be used in these kind of projects.
Materials required – 100 gms Vardhaman Charming Yarn (4 ply), Crochet Hook – 4.5 and 5.5.
Crochet Stitches Used – Slip Stitch, Chain Stitch, Single Crochet, Double Crochet, Shell Stitch.
