I have used gold Zari to tie the tassel which actually adds a contrasting touch while using dark color silk threads.
Ring Beads are available in bright gold as well as dull gold color. You can choose which ever color suits your saree. Adding all the colors in the saree for the tassel part makes the design colorful and bright.
